Spending the morning in bed doing some of my homework. I’m glad to be getting things done so early in the vacation. I swore I wouldn’t procrastinate this time and it looks like I’ll be keeping my promise yayyy!
I have a book to read for my APUSH class, a review to write on said book, three tests the day I get back, a super long portfolio to compile for theatre, and an essay...

Okay, what did you all think of The Hobbit?
I saw it the day after it came out (no midnight premiere for me, it was a school night!) and I thought it was positively brilliant! And the music was absolutely breathtaking. (The little grey box below is a clip of them singing Misty Mountains and it’s so beautiful it gives you chills. My friend and I actually sang this at lunch the other day at school hahaha)
What did you guys think?...

On October 3rd, everyone should come to school in a pink shirt. All the news reporter would come to schools and be like “Mysterious phenoneom when high school kids all around the nation wear pink shirts” and a news reporter goes to a student and the student says “On Wednesday, we wear pink.”

Hearing Daleks speaking in German shouldn't be...
Because they are the freakiest things ever.
But it is funny. Not because it’s German, just because you expect them to go around yelling “exterminate” and then you hear something along the lines of “exterminieran” and it’s so not funny but it really is.
And it’s like, stop laughing because people are dying and everyone is in danger and the very existence of the universe is being...

Anonymous asked: I wonder how your blog got so many followers and visitors in only a couple of years. I've had mine for a year and almost no one has followed mine.
Anonymous asked: May I ask where you bought the deckled edge Complete novels of Jane Austen? I'm interested in purchasing one myself.

A Brief History on Deckle Edged/Rough Cut books.
Back in the days when books were made with handmade paper, deckled edges were regarded as an imperfection in the paper and bookmaking process, and all edges were cut cleanly.
Around the late 1800s, though, books with rough edges became popular. People appreciated the look and feel of deckled edges, and as a result, the pages of many books were left untrimmed.
Nowadays, our manufactured paper...

I'm curious now, which do you prefer?
Deckled edges/a rough cut?
Or clean cut?
Anonymous asked: O.O What is "deckled edge"? Sounds fancy.
Today was a good day.
I found a Visa gift card in my wallet and spent the entire thing on a bunch of books.
I may or may not have gotten The Complete Novels (Penguin Classic Deluxe Edition) of Jane Austen.
1,278 pages.
Deckled edge.
Yes.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Have you seen the trailer for the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower? (If not, click here.)
So everyone, tell us what you think!
As for me, I’m thrilled to see this book come to life on the big screen. I am so excited to see Logan Lerman as Charlie, but most excited to see Emma Watson. From the looks of the trailer, she’s going to be a...
