I love this place!. Your "nerd quirks" are amazing and most of them apply to me. Even though I'm more of a dork than a nerd. But I am pretty nerdy about certain things. Harry Potter and Glee in particular. Also, the Darren Criss gifs are abfab! I love him. He makes for the best gifs.
Aww that was beautiful!!!
No really thank you so much!
And YAYYY I’m glad you appreciate my Darren gifs! He’s kind of one of my favorite people on the planet.
And AHHH YOUR A GLEE FAN A HARRY POTTER FAN AND A DARREN FAN?!????
A couple of days ago I noticed you posted that one of your neighbours is a Doctor Who fan, but you don't know who. May I suggest playing the noise the TARDIS makes on your speakers as loud as you can, and see if anyone comes running...?
I’ve been getting a whole lot of submissions from you guys with suggestions and stories and comments, and I appreciate them so much!
But I’ve also been getting a lot of submissions and stories that don’t really seem to express what nerdism really is. Nerdism (which isn’t really a word hahaha I think we all just kind of made it up) is not about being the smartest, being the most advanced, or being the best. Nerdism isn’t about going around correcting everyone for their mistakes and trying to teach everyone everything. Nerdism isn’t going around treating other people rudely because they’re not as smart as you or not in the AP or Honors classes you are.
This is about embracing all of the things that make nerds unique, all of their idiosyncrasies that make them interesting.
Not about taking these characteristics and shoving them into peoples faces, or using them as a means to prove we’re better than them.
I’m not saying all of you do this but I have gotten quite a bit of stuff from people about it and I just want to make sure we’re all clear, okay?
So please just keep that in mind when you go about commenting and submitting and asking.
