If there was a hurricane, oh wait I live in Florida. I've been through about 8 hurricanes. I just sit around and read because usually there isn't any power. It's actually not as bad as people think unless you're in the eye of the storm. (:
So we don’t need to panic?
Hahaha just kidding. That’s the thing is that people down south see these things all the time. I think us New Englanders are just excited to be part of the action for once hahaha :]
To Ravenpuff: Seeing how you're spending the night in the wizarding world, could you please inform us if the hurricane is actually a Death Eater attack the president didn't know how to cover up except for a weather report?
If there was a hurricane, I would camp out in the room of requirement because the Hurricane wouldn't be able to find it with all my mates, sit around, hot chocolate, smores, a fire, and just being with mates!
If there was a hurricane, I'd do exactly what I'm doing: Drinking a hot cup of green tea, curling up on the couch, watching Lion King / tumbling. (And hoping my friend, who's in Maryland, makes it out before the hurricane hits.)
AND OH MY GOD YES DUMBLDORE’S ARMY MUG!
(It should be noted I have the “I solemnly swear…mischief managed” color changing cup. Good times.”
If there was a hurricane I would go to the Museum of Science and Industry, go to the weather section where they have the little indoor tornado make it into a giant tornado, release it and have it fight the hurricane.
If i were trapped in a hurricane i would climb to the top of the highest building possible. I would then fasten myself to the building with a harness and high tension ropes that wont break (hopefully). It is then that i would don a rogue jedi outfit and wait to be swept into the air by the violent winds. It is at that point that i will, (assuming all goes according to plan), relive the scene from the game "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II" where you are free falling and dodging obstacles
Hey everyone! Before I go, I just wanted to thank you all for our discussion! It was a ton of fun and all of your submissions made me smile! :]
Anyways, school is right around the corner for me (and many others I’m sure) so Nerd Quirks is going to change a little bit.
All of your suggestions, instead of being posted right away, are being added to what I call the “Marvelous-Life Saving-Stress Free-Maginificent-Productive-Queue of Wonder”. I literally just pulled that out of thin air. But it has a nice ring to it :p
Basically, I am going to be short for time, so I am utilizing the wonderful and beautiful tool that is the queue, and it’ll post twice a day.
But I’ll still be around to chat with you guys via inbox!
I'm going to be a junior in highschool, and I don't start until the 6th. I'm a little nervous because I'm going to be taking 2 AP classes as well as animation and art. Also, this school year is going to be an adventure, because I'm having a Japanese exchange student to live with me all year. She gets here in 2 days. O:
Yay! Junior year is usually a pretty good one in comparison to the others, I’ve been told!
That sounds like so much fun! I’ve always wanted to be an exchange student!!! It would be such an adventure! I hope you two get on well and have a brilliant year! :]
I just started my sophomore year in high school and so far my teachers love me, as usual. Although, they think I'm a bit strange. Also as usual. My favorite thing for school ever is my pack of 15 different colored Sharpie Highlighters. They. Don't. Bleed. My notes are rainbow-y as usual this year, and shall stay that way through my AP classes. (As a side note my lucky Sonic Screwdriver is in my backpack as well. If you don't know what this is, I shall be disappointed.) Have a great school year!!
I’m a sophomore as well :)
YAYYYYY I love Sharpies and I love rainbows so it’s just an explosion of permanent, non-bleeding, highlighting, rainbow, sharpie love!
Sonic screwdrivers, way to be :] reppin Doctor Who :]
Haaaai, I know the back-to school post was about 14 hours ago, but I wanted to be part of the discussion! I'm a sophomore in high school and we start tomorrow. I'm rather excited for it because I love the majority of my classes. I'm particularly excited for drama, pre calculus, and English. :) Also my favorite thing I got is a notebook that has a French Blldog wearing a beret and a jacket that TOTALLY LOOK LIKE A BULLYWHIPS UNIFORM. Ftw.
I’m a sophomore too :] I’m taking drama as well! Yayy! English is one of my favorite classes and I think I will probably have nightmares about Pre Calc, totally not my thing :[
That is so so so so cool. I want to get fancy notebooks now!
I'm starting a uni prep course this October, I have to do the prep course 'cause I flunked out of school, I flunked out of school 'cause I got depressed. This blog reminded me so much of my 'pre-depression self'. I was super nervous about doing this course, I have to move to a new city, worry about rent, and be ages away from my parents BUT you've reminded my why I want to do it. Anyway thank you :)
Aww man, depression is awful. I hope this blog can remind you to stay in your pre-depression mode and be a littler happier. :] I know how it is, trust me.
Thank you! I really hope it works out well for you and you have a lovely year!
Hello! I decided to share my education with you too if that's okay :) I'm going to be a First Year in an Irish college known as Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. I'm studying Business Studies and Arts Management and I have never been so excited in all my life! I worked incredibly hard to get this course and was so happy when I was offered my place last Monday. I have a house sorted and everything. Hope you have a great year :)
YAYYYY FOR IRELAND! I want to go so very badly :]
That sounds like so much fun! I’m glad you are enjoying it! Congratulations for making it in!
Thank you! I hope your year is spiffing as well :]
Hello! I'm going to start school up again next month and I am going to be a 2nd year at UCLA (yes we use "years" as well because after this quarter I will technically be a junior) and am studying English and History (in hopes of becoming a high school English teacher). I'm taking my first upper division class so I'm really excited (but its going to be tough) and I'm dorming again! I thoroughly appreciate your responses to the insulting blogger! Keep on nerding! :)
Hi! Oh wow, also very jealous that you all go by “Harry Potter grade standard”. English and History are two of my favorite things :] Good for you! I bet that would be a really fun job to heave, imagine the stories you’ll have everyday after work hahahaha
Yayy for dorming! :D
Hahaha oh insulting blogger, my own personal form of entertainment :P
