I, Monica Jean, do swear to log out of Tumblr the minute this text post is posted and go work on my history research paper.
I will work on the research paper until dinner, at which time I will eat as much food as possible as quickly as possible so I can get back to finishing my paper.
I will not turn to snacks, tea, fanfiction, Tumblr, my fluffy kitten, Facebook, classic/Disney movies, books, Nutella, reading something that isn’t about British imperialism in India, acting, Twitter, cool indie bands, Starkid, memorizing a monologue, YouTube, Harry Potter, writing (fanfiction or otherwise), cleaning my room, texting, online shopping, nature walks, or napping as a means of further procrastination.
Failure to abide by these set conditions will result in complete and utter shame for my lack of self control and ability to focus, the embarrassment of being a blithering, uneducated idiot for knowing nothing about the social, political and economic effects of imperialism in India, and a ban from Tumblr, food, naps, kittens, tea etc. (see complete list of distractions above) until the paper is completely, utterly, flawlessly finished and moves my history teacher to tears upon reading it.
I mean, I love, love, love action movies.
And I adore my superheroes.
And The Avengers was one of the best action movies ever. And it was absolutely hilarious, I definitely did not expect it to be that funny.
Really, like, the whole thing was phenomenal.
Edit: For those of you that asked, my favorite superheroes we’re most definitely Iron Man (he’s so full of himself and I love Robert Downey Jr. Plus he offered a lot of comedic relief!) the Hulk (love, love, love him, he is SUCH a geek, but also has such a dynamic character) and Black Widow (she was so tough, it was really refreshing to see a female in an action movie with a strong, powerful character, plus I love the darker aspects of her character).
All in all, it was seriously the most epic and badass 143 minutes of my life and ever.
Did any of you see it? What did you think? Which of the superheroes were your favorite?
That little fun fact about you trying to impress your teacher by using pen on your homework as a little 5 year old was the sweetest thing ever. I just pictured a mini-Monica Jean in pigtails getting out a pen too big for her hand all excited to do her homework. And look at you now! c:
I saw How To Succeed with Darren Criss back in January, so I’m excited to see it with Nick Jonas! Two super talented guys! And Rose Hemingway is lovely. The show was fabulous the first time around. The costumes and choreography were spot on. Even the lighting was great. And I loved the color scheme, it was all very harmonious. (No pun intended.) So I can’t wait to see it again!
As for Memphis I’m afraid I don’t know all that much about that show! But I’m still just as excited for all the lovely surprises it’ll bring!
Anyway there’s a bunch of drama nonsense for all my fellow theatre nerds out there!
If you’re a regular nerd, and you’re wondering what the point of this post is, it’s to tell you I’ll be gone for a few days! But I have a queue going so you won’t feel neglected!
