Have you seen the trailer for the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower? (If not, click here.)
So everyone, tell us what you think!
As for me, I’m thrilled to see this book come to life on the big screen. I am so excited to see Logan Lerman as Charlie, but most excited to see Emma Watson. From the looks of the trailer, she’s going to be a fantastic Sam. I can’t wait! My biggest hope for the movie is that it will be able to portray life in high school through Charlie’s eyes in a way that it feels genuine and authentic. (Plus, it helps that one of my favorite bands, Imagine Dragons is playing in the background!)
Have you read the book? What did you think of it? Are you excited for the movie? What did you think of the trailer? Are you pleased with the cast? What are your hopes for the movie? Which part of the book are you most excited to see turned to film?
Here’s the official trailer for the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Haven’t taken them yet, dear! Next year! :] I’ll let you all know how it turns out! ;]
What have you done with your summer thus far?
Anonymous
I’ve done nothing but watch Doctor Who (from the ninth Doctor on…) and documentaries on dear Queen Elizabeth, feeling very sorry for myself for missing the Diamond Jubilee.
Also reading a bit and playing with Eloise. Babysitting as well.
And eating a whole lot of Nutella because hey, being home and not having to go to school, I have access to it around the clock ;]
What were your final grades, Monica Jean? I bet you got all A's!
Anonymous
Hahaha I almost did! I got an A in every class, save Honors Biology and Honors Algebra 2.
I got B’s in those. :\
My excuse for Honors Bio is that science isn’t my strongest subject. My excuse for Honors Algebra 2 is that I never took Algebra 1, whoops. You can imagine how difficult an honors math class would be having not taken the prerequisite to that class. But my teacher was absolutely fantastic!
I just hate B’s, guys. :[
I’ve missed you all so very much!
These last months of school have been insane. You know how it can be with the end of the year, finishing up classes and taking finals and all that jazz. I hope you all did well!
Who am I kidding, of course you did! You’re the smartest group of people I know!
The good news is that I’m finally out of school for the summer, which means I am back on Tumblr and back on Nerd Quirks!
Starting tomorrow, we are bringing Nerd Quirks back from the dusted and cobwebbed corners of cyberspace! Since we are on a long summer break, we need this nerdy space now more than ever, not having school to rely on for a good brain exercise and whatnot!
So tell me, how have you all been? How was the end of your year? What are your plans for this summer?
I don’t think I will ever truly be happy until I have one of those secret bookshelf doors where you have to pull out a certain book to open the door.
